Make Your Own Pellets With The Mini Pellet Mill There could be many reasons why you wish to produce your own pellets. It could be part of your business or just for personal use, but making pellets on a small scale has been a difficult process. The small flat die pellet mills which are mass produced in China simply do not have the ability to make a wide range of materials into pellets without a lot of work on the pellet mill and to prepare the raw material before hand. Also the small flat die pellet mills require constant supervision to feed small amounts of material into the mill. The pellet mill may have a large cone hopper, however to just fill this with material would be a bad idea and block the pellet mill. When it comes to making pellets on a small scale the amount of time you have to put in is vital due to the small volume of pellets you are producing each hour. It needs to make sense that the amount of time you put in is worth it. The PelHeat Mini Pellet Mill has been designed to remove the issues associate with other products. Firstly the product has a large material hopper with variable speed auger feed. This will meter the material into the pellet die for you. This means once the pellet mill is setup correctly as long as there is material in the pellet mill, pellets will be made automatically. The mini pellet mill can produce wood pellets and other biomass fuel pellets as well as animal feeds and other niche pellets. It has been designed to run from a standard domestic power supply with a normal 3 pin plug. In 2012 the UK government will release the Renewable Heat Incentive to the public which means if you have a pellet stove or boiler the government will pay for your fuel. The incentive is to reduce green house emissions and hit the UK low carbon targets. Well if you can make your own pellets you will be able to keep the money without having to spend it on pellet fuel. Potentially you could even make an arrangement with a neighbour or family member to produce fuel for them as well. Its important to remember the raw material needs to be in small particles and dry, the moisture content must be below 15%. |
